The technology looks interesting, but the fact you can only use their brand arrows and the five year only warranty kind of turn me off.

$1500 sure is expensive but to each his own. It looks like just the knocks are proprietary in that they have to grab the string like a regular arrow.

Not mention that it may not be legal in some states.

Not legal in NY yet. My buddy has one and they are fantastic. The accountant above isn’t happy with a 5 year warranty. Not sure why some people think everything should be guaranteed for life or close.😂

Any updates on the Ravin Crossbows? Hype makes them look fantastic, but they are pretty expensive.

My hunting partner has one and it’s a shooter 👍
! Not yet legal in NY because of width but should change soon. Dumb laws. Edited by Peddler - September/04/2018 at 12:27 |

Nope I believe they are with an Archery Rep Group. As I said earlier my hunting partner has one and they are super accurate. |

The NYCC has been attempting to get those stupid rules changed for a few years. No go so far. I'll just stick with my two legal bows... CamX and Scorpyd.

Buy in my club has one, he says you can shoot a deer at 100 yards with it. It's very compact, which I like, especially when trying to use it sitting in a tree with branches around you.

Herein lies the rub. NO WAY should anybody be shooting at deer at 100 yards with it... or any other crossbow. The 100 yard marketing BS (along with making it seem like a rifle) is a travesty hoisted upon the general public to separate you from your money. Pure foolishness.

I think at 100 yards it would take a while for the bolt to arrive, and I am sure the deer could move and cause the shot to be off.
I like how compact it was. I have a cheap centerpoint sniper which is 370FPS, and it will drill a bolt compared to what my Matthews Switchback XT will shoot an arrow, but the bow is way quieter. And miss a deer with a crossbow and you will find out quick, a followup shot isn't gonna happen.
