His stuff will never happen and he's old enough he'll die pretty quick anyways. If this is the best our country can come up with for leaders of either party we are in a sad place. One common theme is the push away from political elite families that are above the law of the little people...do as we say not as we do leadership.
But to the original point Cruz is so whiny and sniveling...just don't like the guy at all based on his voice, facial expressions and perceived arrogance. We're pretty much screwed no matter how this goes down, and the best I see out of this is the wild card of what someone like Trump would do to change things. |

And there lies the problem...... anyone with half a brain would never vote for anyone on the democratic ticket (at least this year) over anyone of the GOP picks..... if you do you're contributing to the problem. I don't care if you don't like them, at least we know they aren't as bad as Clinton or Bernie. If you vote for Bernie or Clinton because you don't like the GOP candidates (just as a person) as your sole reasoning, you don't deserve to vote. |

Alan Dershowitz famously said that Ted Cruz is 'off-the-charts brilliant' about his time at Harvard Law School. Cruz has argued before the Supreme Court of Texas and the Supreme Court of The United States...and won.
He's a Constitutionalist. He's a little stiff with his personality. Sounds like you just don't like him. Bernie's a Communist. Like Hillary and Obama...( AKA Democrats...) |

This seems very shallow. If there had been TV or radio in 1860 Abraham Lincoln would never have been elected, but because there wasn't the people voted for the ideas and wisdom of the candidates and not how pretty they look or sound. Cruz is my guy not because he's pretty, but because he's smart, knows and supports the Constitution, and has the values I have. He was not my first choice, but TV, and the big cow bird (Donald Trump) pushed my first choices out of the race. Now Ted Cruz is the last guy in the race that I most want as a U.S. President because he has the qualities that I want in a President and not a reality show host. I find that Trump is as much of the establishment as anyone else on both sides of the the parties, and I have my own theory on why he is even running, BUT if he winds up being the nominee, I will fight my way to the polls to vote for him, because he has to be better than Hilary Clinton. The question is: are you going to vote for the pretty guy, the smart guy, or the wicked witch of the west? |

Cruz is my guy largely because he wants a 10% flat tax on everyone. That is huge in my book.

Ted won't beat Hillary. Hate to say it, but charisma means a lot and gets many people to where they are in life. Call it shallow if you want, but you don't need to pass any tests to vote.

And right or wrong Hilary will wipe the floor with Donald in a debate, because he can't argue with facts, and she can lie faster than a dead dog. Ted can argue his point with facts, and point out the lies.
Either way, if your picking a candidate based on charisma and not character, then the Constitution is nothing more than construction material for a paper airplane. |

Well...that pretty much does it for me now that Cruz and Kasich have to team up now so they can beat one person, because back door rounding up of delegates isn't enough.
Guess I am now an independent. They just don't get it....Cruz would pull very few votes from middle or left and Trump supporters won't vote for him. He would get crushed Trump will pull from left and middle.....not sure I care for him all that much but I honestly think he has the better chance. |

Trump ain't pulling jack from anywhere except Hard Core Republicans. Did you see the numbers in New York State? Hillary got 1.4 MILLION votes....that's more than ALL THREE REPUBLICANS got in the whole freakin' state put together!
Some morons are out there telling Americans that Trump is going to Cross Over and get Reagan Democrats and this one and that one, etc, etc....Bull-oney. I think that if another candidate gets chosen at the Convention, that a bunch of Trump supporters will just give up and not vote....and put Hillary on the throne. This Country is in Big Trouble. GREAT idea....but can he really pull this off?? He also say's he'll abolish the IRS. Can you imagine the guttural screams from the ass sitters that actually have to PAY something/anything now? And he hands out pink slips to one of the most powerful agencies in Washington?

Part of it is the establishment though....even though Cruz isn't, he is now considered establishment because of their backing and as we see on the left and right people are fed up with professional elite politicians that are above the little people. I work a salaried job in a UAW shop and when the majority of them won't touch Hillary....enough said.

Years ago I worked for Union Pacific Railroad. Those union guys would have voted for Satan if he was a Democrat.
Those guys would have watched a house burn down and not grab a hose unless they had gotten a call two hours in advance and were guaranteed Triple Time....
