Can anyone tell me if the SWFA Classic fixed-magnification mil radian scopes are ffp,or sfp? I own the 16x but I can't find information as to it's reticle location in the product information.
thank you

I don't believe it matters on a fixed power scope. Out of curiosity I'd like to hear someone more familiar with rifle scopes innards explain this.

I am awaiting a reply to this question from SWFA. Elsewhere, some have commented that a fixed-mag scope is sfp. Then I found information stating that " by definition a fixed-mag scope is ffp". So SWFA will sort it out.
thanks for replying, Dennis.

I've heard back from Chris of SWFA. My 16x Classic with the mquad reticle is, in fact an SFP. At least now I have the official word. Don't know why i thought it was an ffp. Optimism?

It just means the reticle is in the fromt part of the erector. For a fixed scope it really would make no difference as there is no magnification adjustment. So whether its in the front or rear of erector matters little.

Possibly stupid question: why does it matter?
Freedom is something you take.
Respect is something you earn.
Equality is something you whine about not being given.
