I promissed to update you guys on the house project we are in working on.
The brickworkers are now working on the brick decorations  on the outer walls, the final thing before the roof finally closes the house completely.

The kitchen and bathrooms, are being worked on and it is a huge puzzle to keep track on it all these days.

B U T …….. We hope to move in at the beginning of next month.

Here is a couple of pic's for you. Also a few drone pic's and a view from the balcony.

What's with the big truck, and what kind of roof are you going to have?
It all looks very interesting.

Well, the Volvo is unloading dry powder = cement etc, for the brick work. The tower he is blowing the "powder " in to, is storage for it all.

When we need material for to build with they open for the "gate" and the powder slides out and are being mixed with water, then we have the material we want for keeping the bricks together.

The roof are going to be a German clay tile roof.

So I assume the tower/storage bin will be removed after the house is completed.

The German tile sounds cool.
Clay tile roofs used to be common in Looneyville, but now the cost is outrages, so very few still survive.

Very interesting seeing different building techniques around the world. What material are the rain gutters made of? Almost looks like galvanized???

That is a fine looking structure.  I love the ponds… I will be digging one in the not too distant future.
Building your own has many satisfactions… and many pitfalls.  Rewarding in the end, I'm told.  Still have ways to go myself before finishing.
Best to you…

Thank's guys.

We are also lookin' foreward to see the final result. It has been an 11 year journey since we sold our former house.

Since then we have been living in a itsy bitsy flat, and the old shack here on the property.

It's about time too, cause this week we lost our dryer so all washing clothes have to dry in front of the pellet oven..

Our hot water maker broke down yesterday….. DAMN i had a cold shower this morning..BRRRRRRR

So …..Yesssss we are ready.

I'll keep you posted.HowdyHowdy

I remember a friend of mine that built a house out in the country (no city water). He and his wife slept in a camper on the property, brought his water in, in 55gal. drums, and used 5gal. buckets for a.......well, you get the picture. Every evening he heated a big pot of water on a camp stove, and poured it in a military field shower for his daily shower. Talk about someone happy to get moved in.

I'm in your neck of the woods later in the year, once it warms up a bit, I'll really need to get out on the weekends.

Hey Lynn

All the buildings that is close to the house is a part of our property.
The " line " to the neighbour is the trees and bushes.

The buildings are barns and stables for livestock. We don't use it for that though, all we have is four chickensBig GrinBig Grin

The most of the buildings are in pretty bad shape. Actuly my main plan is to keep the yellow barn that lies
next to the house, as it is the best of them all. 200 sq. meter.

I'll rebuild it and make a nice room with a fireplace and my trophies etc. to be used for cozy hours and when we have been hunting.

Also ill make a garage where i can have my hoist and all my tools, and we can have our cars garaged.

But but but… We are just spending a fortune on the house, then the rest comes little by little.
