I have a Tikka T3, with a egw 20 moa base. I just ordered a I OR 3.5-18X50 35MM tube. What rings would work, having the scope mounted as close to the bore possible with flip caps on. I am looking at the TPS tactical rings, or the IOR rings. Will low rings work or should I get mediums? Thanks in advance.

Best Guess Low may work but scope caps will be tight and may not have enough room so Medium is the safe choice. Call SWFA they may have specs that tell.

It wouldn't be much more to go with Seekins rings. They're always spot-on perfect.

Plus one on Seekins. You'll need mediums.

Thanks for the help on helping me decide which rings to go with. What are your thoughts on the IOR? I was only able to find positive reviews. Anyone on here use the IOR's?

They are OK. Not Seekins in quality, IMO, but certainly serviceable.
I'd probably go with TPS over IOR, but I don't like IOR stuff, so there's that.

IOR brand rings are excellent rings. I have had several pair of them and been very happy. Very comparable to TPS IMO.
But I would pick Seekins over either as well. Seekins are excellent |

Seekins are very sleek and don't sport those big ass hex nuts that IOR, TPS, Badger have.

Huh. I look at that FN and think "There is no way the brass is making it out of there". It looks too narrow.

Agreed on the mediums. Possibly lows if no lenscaps used.
Here is my T3 sporter with a 50mm objective and AADmount meds on a 20mm rail. http://www.opticstalk.com/post-your-rigs-here_topic8391_page44.html |

The FN is right handed the photo from the left; brass will eject out the right side just fine. I know Mark is a leftie but its an "internet photo" of a right handed rifle. Nice Rings!!!!

I have IOR rings, not a problem ever.
On the Tikka, since you are adding a rail, you might be fine with low, not sure, but mediums will be safe. I've had a few of the IOR 3-18s, they do many things very well.

Went ahead and ordered the Seekins low rings (35mm), and they work really nice on the Tikka T3 with a 20 moa rail.
