Is there any rebar connecting the concrete foundation to the perimeter block? They just "wet set" the block onto the still wet concrete, Claus?

As an American concrete contractor, I'm always fascinated by other countries means and methods of concrete construction. Heck, even in this country, there are varied methods of construction used at different places.

That's cool. Thanks for sharing.

So it's a little over 1,836sq. ft..

Depending on the insulation in your ceiling/roof, it should be very energy efficient to heat and cool.

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Nice looking house, Claus! The property looks to be in a beautiful location, too! Please keep us updated on progress.

Mark: Yes they set the block in wet concrete. I didn't know it was done any other way, i got wiser today. Smile

Lynn:  The roof are insulated the same way as the walls, so if all the predictions are right we will be able to              heat the entire chabang for app. 800US $ a year. That is darn cheap for a house that size. ( over                  here at least.)

Thank you all for the nice words. I'll keep you posted.
