Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you all.

May we all have a peaceful Christmas with a lot of great food and what ever goes with it. Merry Christmas
I hope you all had a good year and are looking foreward to 2016.

Personally i am not working on the oil rig any more, but have just started a new job as a mountaineer at Vestas MHI Off Shore, building ocean windmills.
At the moment we are working on the largest Off Shore windmill ever made. Very exiting.

We started building our new house in the end of September and are expecting to move in beginning of March. We are living in the "old schack" until the new one is ready.
Below is a couple of pictures.

Exept from that all is as it use to be.

Again all my brothers in arms

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

There is pretty tight security around taking fotos of the windmill, but i'll see what i can do when we get a little further down the road..
So far we are still  in the "making proces" .

Merry Christmas

I'd like to know more about your new house too.

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Interesting - poured concrete construction, I like this already.

[QUOTE=BeltFed]

I'd like to know more about your new house too.

Well,, the inner walls are made out of aerated concrete. It comes in big elements and has a lot of advantages.  It can breath - can't burn - easy to work with, acturly you can use a big tooth saw to cut it, etc. etc.

The foundation is poured concrete and we are having the heating hoses layed in styrofoam underneath the concrete.

The house will be heated with a geothermal heating system. We are having 300 meter of hoses digged app. one meter in the ground.

It will be top isolated and we are putting in three layer thermo windows.

To make sure we have a correct airflow in the house we are installing a pipe system and a pump that moves the air around to prevent moist in the house.

The outer walls will be made of bricks, made here in Denmark. The tile roof we get from Germany as they make some of the best clay for their tiles. They gives a 50 years garanti that the glazing lasts.

Ill keep you posted.

Here is a couple of other foots for you.

Another term for foundations here in the US is "footings".

Cool! There are using a telebelt to place the concrete. We, (I) use telebelts sparingly here. We use them more to place gravel than concrete. We typically use a boom pump to place concrete.

Looks like the belt truck worked perfectly for you. How long after the concrete was placed did you set the block on the foundation?

It worked out pretty well with the tele belt. That is pretty much the way it is done over here i guess.
The blocks were plased right after the concrete was in place.

How many square meters is your floor plan?

That is some really interesting construction.
