Hello! Two questions:
1. Trying to decide between the: Leupold VX-6 1-6x24mm (30mm) MultiGun CDS: https://www.leupold.com/hunting-shooting/scopes/vx-6-riflescopes/vx-6-1-6x24mm-30mm-multigun-cds/ and the Vortex Razor HD Gen II: http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/razor-hd-gen-2-1-6x24-riflescope-with-jm-1-reticle/reticle Biggest difference I can see is weight, although I've found some sites saying the Razor HD II is 25.2oz (manufacturer's site) and 18.4oz (Midway,Optics planet) (question #2 is can anyone confirm one weight or the other?). Unless someone else has more information regarding the difference in quality, functionality, etc, the 25.2oz weight would decide it for me vs the VX-6's 14.6oz weight. Also, any reticle preferences/experience with either of these optics would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!! |

I would go off the manufacture's website over the others. And SWFA's website (The people who maintain the OT.) has the same weight of 25.2oz.

You should just call Vortex. They will be able to tell you for sure. (800) 426-0048

I don't buy Leupold, but the vortex is awesome - but heavy.
I run the vortex gen2 on a 16" 300blk and like it allot, great glass, turrets track true, and weight isn't a significant factor. There is almost always - if not always - an option better than Leupold. Personal experience and preference, mileage will vary. |
