Neep scope for Savage 110 HS Precision in 338. Gun just going to be fun gun for longer range shooting. Looking at Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 or something similar in price. The Sig Sauer Tango 4 seem interesting.

Don't have the 5-20, but the 3-9HD is AWESOME! I'd love to put a 5-20HD on my 300WM. Maybe someday... Good luck!

You will love the 5-20. I have one on my 338 LM. Great match.

I bought the Burris XTR II 4-20X50. I hope I don't regret it.

Burris --- you might look it over closely before mounting it to be sure it is what you want. So long as it has not been mounted if you change your mind you can probably return it for a different optic. A 338 is expensive to shoot. If I didnt want to spend the $ of a 5-20 SS I would put a fixed 16x SS on it or the 3-9

So far so good. I installed the Badger Ordnance USMC M40A3 rings on it. Glass good, tracking has been spot on. Gun held zero perfectly first 20 rounds. I bought couple more boxes ammo and did some workup reloads this week with so we will see if it continues to go well.

Let us know if it holds up. I'm looking for a scope for .338LM as well but was sort of leaning toward the fixed power SS. Either 10X or 16X.

2 month follow up. Scope has held up well. Adjustments have been spot on and repeatable. I do not like the glass as much as my Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14X50. My son came in from college and we took my 300 Wby and 338 out and he said the Zeiss was easier to get behind and seemed clearer when both were at 14X. I have to agree with him.
