Just returned from a store that had both scopes in stock. Really like the number 4 reticle. Couldn't find info on Leica's web site for the ER5. Is it an obsolete model? Looking at 2-10 ER5 and 2.5-10 ERI. Any opinions from owners are greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased a Leica ERi 2.5-10 X 42 4A and have been behind it for about 60 rounds so far. I don't think I could be more pleased.

That 4A reticle is the best low-light reticle I have ever used.  I have one in a Leupold custom shop model that I had custom made for my 9.3x62 CZ Mannlicher.  It's really effective.

I think the ER5 is a new model. I'd love to hear some first hand info on it also.

ER5's are brand new scopes from Leica that are assembled here. I haven't seen any of them yet. I do have a ER in 2.5-10x42 and love it.
