Got a Geissele SSA-E trigger for my AR-15. What I'm now asking myself is Why didn't I do this sooner.

Concur. One of the best upgrades a guy can do to an AR, IMO.

Awesome triggers, among my favorite.

This may be the wrong place for this question but...
I have a Timney I like very much. I know these are 2 stage triggers but not much else. What is the advantage of this trigger over the Timney single stage?

It's a matter of preference.

I have 3 Geissele SSA-E's, a Hiper Fire Hipertouch 24 Trigger (not yet installed, and a Timney single stage just installed in my 6.5 Grendel build (80% lower, etc).  For the Grendel, I think I like the Timney better than the Geissele... but the jury is still out, I've not fired but a box of rounds through the Grendel with the new trigger.  The Grendel is one of my favorite guns.

Two of my favorite rifles have excellent two stage triggers.  I'm actually starting to like two stage triggers as well if not a little better single stage ones now.

I like a single stage for an AR. I did have a two stage LMT on an AR that was decent.

I just installed a CMC 3.5lb single stage on my hog gun. Haven't shot it yet but it feels pretty dang good.

I was just checking those out online. I'd like to know how you like it after you get it out, Mike.

Hey Kickboxer, I have several flavors of the JP single stage triggers in both 3lb (yellow hammer spring) and 4lb (red hammer spring) pull weights - crisp pull and short reset for the lot. But in single stage triggers the hiperfire 24C is truly something to be experienced. Lightest pull of the bunch somewhere in the vicinity of 2.25 lb letoff with short reset and hard hammer fall/fast lock time. It has become my favorite for making tiny, no excuse groups. I suspect that at some point I will have to install a Geissle high speed match trigger in my iron sighted target AR though! It won't be even close to CMP legal but who cares?

The SSA-E has been my favorite.

Yes at present the hiperfire is my fav but my new JP grendel rifle is wearing the newest variation of the JP trigger - the armageddon revolution roller trigger. As I get to know the new rifle I will also evaluate and get to know this one as well. Basically the 3lb JP ez trigger with the flat roller/bow in place of the curved trigger. The feel is superior to the standard curved trigger but beyond that I will just have to live with it a while.

I have 2 single stage 3.5# CMC triggers 1 straight, 1 regular. Like both but the Straight fells better to me on the break. I may swap triggers between my hog gun and my SBR. I'd like the nicer breaking trigger on my hog gun.

Got a Wilson Combat TTU?? on mine. 4 lb single stage. Makes for a nice change from that gritty assed 7 lb plus GI trigger.
