Hi all,

I'm interested in the new VX6 line up and after a search on here, I only seemed to be lots of "should i buy the VX6 or X Scope", but no real review or thoughts solely on the VX6.

Does anyone here have a VX6 that they are able to comment on?
I am interested in the 3-18 TMOA version, which I have heard rumor that they offer this scope with different turrets than the standard CDS and that a M3 turret option is now available!
Also heard about some folk having problems with mushy clicks on the turrets and with extremely tight magnification/parallax rings. Are these problems all ironed out?

I am new to the site, have looked at many threads here over the years but only just joined now.
Hopefully I can add something to the site, I have a few scopes that don't get to many reviews written about them, so maybe I'll do that.

Cheers,
Beetroot

Welcome to the OT.

I think Koshkin did a review, could not find it.

Contact JGRaider, I know he uses the VX6.  Go to "advanced search" and search VX6.  There are a few hits.

I'm not a real fan of Leupold, so really cannot be of much other help.

VX6 are very nice hunting scopes.
My buddy is putting the 3-18 on a lightweight AR10 243 hunting build.
He has the new turrets and has "tactical" scopes, I will ask him what he thinks about the turrets on the VX6

I don't have any firsthand experience with the 3-18X44. I've seen and handled that version at shows, but I have no in-field time with it. However, a buddy has the 2-12X42 w/ standard duplex and it's a great scope! It's comparable to anything else at that price point. I'd say if you like the reticle offerings, size and weight for your application, and it has the features you want, then I have little doubt you'll  be very happy with it.

Beetroot.  Welcome to the forum.

I have the Leupold CDS VX-6 2-12X 42 illuminated LR Duplex scope mounted on a CZ550 in 375 H&H.  I purchased the scope about a year ago.  Excellent scope whose glass quality I would put on par with the Swarovski Z3 or Leica ERi.  I have both.

Turrets on my Leupold have very positive adjustments with no mushy feel.  I didn't find the power adjustment ring to be an issue when I first received it but has smoothed out over the past year through use.

Do you have the standard CDS turrets or one of the other options available?
