This is not my entry, but I had to share this one. I can't believe I got this shot.

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

I think a house floating down the flooded river could qualify as a mobile home.Shocked

This wasn't the original idea I had for this month. Originally....Well, I will post a picture that shares what I was going for tomorrow after the deadline.

Landing at the distribution center. I couldn't get them to turn the airport around last week.

The original idea I had was to capture a police car, responding to an alarm call running code on the freeway like this:

But it turned out horrible. The preview looked ok and it was something I thought could be cleaned up in post processing, however not the case. Them I called on my buddy for some sound advice, which I received and I'm still going to try it, but wasn't able to make it for this contest, thus the alternative entry.

I wanted to get a MD11 taking off with the landing gear half way up, but the only good place to do it is on 35R. The battery died on my camera the day the winds were coming out of the north, and by the time I got it replaced it was obvious the winds were going to be out of the south for the rest of the week. I got a couple of good shots of MD11s landing, but one was a profile like the F/A-18, and the other was at touch down with smoke coming off the tires, but the fence was in the way.
I decided on the 767 because it was completely dirty and you could see all the flaps and controls. It would have looked even cooler if I could have got the shot on a rainy day when you can see the vortexes coming off the wings.

I started recording that series. I'm waiting for a couple episodes to complete before I start it. Looks like it's going to be great!

I like it so far. I think they're taking some artistic liberties with some things, but it has been entertaining.
