I acquired a Monarch 3 4-16x42 a couple of days ago. This is the first Monarch 3 I've ever laid eyes on. Does anyone have any experience with them...good, bad, ugly please? This one also happens to have the XR turret, FWIW. Thanks for the help.

Glass is same as old UCC Monarch's of old. Fixed 4" eye relief, 4x erector, as I recall. Not sure about the XR turrets, as mine was one of the first ones. Mine had the BDC reticle, which is functional with a little work.
I had a 4-16x. Decent scope for the $$$. I think there's a review of mine in Review Forum. |

Oh, the big ocular housing might be a problem for a rifle with a high bolt lift, like a CZ.

Perhaps the Russian Midget could provide more insight?
