Zeroed a SS 20x42. Under the turret caps there is a ring on the turret with a line (to line up "0") and hash marks for counting revolutions. With the caps off, noticed that these rings spin on the turrets. After turret caps are installed and tightened again, these internal rings spin when I turn the turret caps. These means that the reference line (for which hash mark to reference on the turret cap) is moving.
Anyone know how to resolve this problem and what's needed to prevent these inner rings from spinning? Thanks! |

What did you find out about this issue? I have the same scope on my 50 BMG but haven't fired it yet to test out.

Posted on 2 boards and never got much of a response. SWFA suggested putting a drop of super glue behind the indicator ring to keep it from spinning.

He could do the super glue or he can pay to ship it back so that the manufacture can do the same thing. Good advice. This will keep the scope in his hands, rather than the scope traveling the highways for who knows how long. I have heard that the pot holes in I 44 will soon surpass the Grand Canyon.
