So I ran across an add for a new T3 Lite at a really reasonable price. I however have wanted the Hunter model, but can't get one less that $750+ before shipping. I know some people here have replaced the crappy stock on the T3 Lite with an aftermarket one. I know it's the same action and finishing, just a different stock than the Hunter. Who makes a good replacement stock for it in the $200 or less range that I may can get it to look like the Hunter model.

Not sure on stock replacement for less than $200, but if you find a T3 lite for a good price, buy it!

I use Tikka actions for custom builds now, they are strong, smooth, and have features usually only found on far more expensive actions.

Lots of companies now make replacement stocks to fit Tikka.

I found it for mid 5's new. I've never liked the feel of their synthetic and I've read that it's not exactly worthy of praise.

So they didn't have my caliber, and the deal ends after Labor Day. And for orders they'd charge regular price. So I continue to look for the Hunter model.

It is far better than the worthless thing Remington outs on their rifles now, but far from stellar.

I prefer Manners or KRG, I really like the whiskey 3 chassis.

Good luck, awesome guns.

I love mine with the Manners EHT stock. But might have saved a hundred or two with a Sako A7.

Yeah I saw the A7 right at $1050, but no caliber that interested me. Is the A7 much "cheaper" than the 85?
