can't decide the  alpen 499 12x50 the  nikon atb monarch12x56  or the  leupold olympic 12x50 any  help on these choices  would  be  great  and thanx  for any input

I would get the Monarch. It has the widest field of view. The Alpen products are iffy in terms of quality control. Leupolds are overpriced, have a small field of view, and half of that field is distorted. Nikon for sure. Good warranty, too.

Sorry to mislead you. The Leupolds have a nice image, but it is still a narrow field.

Besides, the extra 6mm of lens diameter of the Monarch may make a difference.
