I was at the range today zeroing a new scope for a pronghorn hunt.  I was shooting off a Harris bipod.

Here's what happened to the stock of my Sako A7 at the front stud.  The bipod was only finger tight.

I called Beretta Warranty @ 301.283.2191.  I spoke to Tom.  He said that since my rifle was one year out of warranty they wouldn't replace it… BUT I could send it in to their gunsmith and they MIGHT give me 25% off the same piece of sh*t stock.

Beretta can kiss my ass.  I just thought folks would appreciate the intel before purchasing one of their products.

Disclaimer: I also own a Sako 85 Hunter in 375 H&H.  So far, their safari stuff hasn't let me down one bit.

Well I guess that explains why most people say to throw away those sako and tikka stocks as soon as you get the rifle.  That sucks bro.
Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

I'm a Sako fan, but I've never liked any of the synthetic stocks they've ever supplied with any of their rifles.

Let me know if your pronghorn outfitter is any good, I need a nice pronghorn!

REMF  dont feel bad I did the same thing on a Rem 700 PSS police sniper rifle and it was only a .308 It now has a McMillan stock on it.  I just wish I could afford a half dozen of them.

I really do, but that is a longer flight than a pronghorn hunt.

I even have a rifle set up for the pronghorn, not one for a sable (though I have a few that'll work for sable.)

Truth be told, when I go back, at the top of my list will be giraffe and crocodile.  I'd kill a hippo too.

And a 62" kudu, if I happened upon one.

And a black wildebeest.

And a dyhker.

And a reedbuck.

And a warthog, a nasty warthog.

Dammit, I gotta go back to Africa!

replace it with the new roughtech stock they are putting on the A7 big game. One of my favorite things I've ever touched!
