Just living in Wyoming is an adventure! Living there is more fun than hunting antelope.

Easy to hunt. Spot and stalk. The locals don't even buy up the licenses. They need to be controlled, however. Otherwise, GOD will send a severe winter to kill 100,000 of them.

We had them all over our place in Cheyenne, often puzzling at how to get around the cattle guard in our driveway. Returning to Cheyenne from Kimmerer, WY one Sunday after a baited bear hunt I almost had a small group run into the side of my truck on I 80 in a wind storm. Often encountered in the middle of gravel roads they would run ahead of the truck, matching your speed, until they spotted a place in a fence they could go under and I only ever saw one jump a fence in the 10 years I lived in WY. I harvested two small ones, making jerky out of the meat I kept and if I ever hunt one again it will be for horns, donating the meat to a worthy source that will use it. Plenty of neat experiences in WY to enjoy, especially once you get tied in with long term ranch families. Lots of great self sufficient folks and a laid back lifestyle. Unless you are a business owner or self employed, income caps limit financial opportunities but I'm not so sure I'd move again if I had a do over.
