There is a huge field of these just north of my house. All weekend people were stopping on the side of the freeway to take pictures of them.

Nothing like a Western sunset. Very cool, Skylar.

Nice! How big is the field?

This one is pretty small. I want to say about 25-50 Acres.

The farmer who has this crop also has another directly across the highway. That one is well over 1,000 Acres.

I want to take a picture of that one with the sun setting and from an elevated position.

I was thinking of standing on my roof with the tripod, then setting for long exposer and catching the Headlights and Taillights of IH 35. Could make for a nice image. Who know, may send it in to Texas Highways Magazine.

I couldn't see the flowers in the first Picture. It looked like a picture of the surface of the sun to meBucky The second picture was cool.
Did you use a filter?
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.
