I am looking for a base to fit my 24/47 yugoslavian mauser, and looking on the web is quite difficult . I just want to know what model to look for? Or what more common model has the same contour on the receiver?

Basic Model 98 military Mauser, there are some subtle differances that going to a two peice base can solve. You will need to get the receiver drilled and taped, which is not that big of a job, but not everybody want to do that kind of work any more. |

hey there. I just bought a mount from Ken Farrell for my Yugoslavian m24/47. It is model Yugo 48 but fits the M24/47 as the receive dimensions are the same.I won an auction on ebay for it at the price of $58. They are normally $72.80. The one I got is the 20MOA version. There are others in 0 moa and 30 moa. Its a one piece base, all steal, and this model has 4 slots on each end for weaver rings. It looks pretty cool, i just haven't gotten the time yet to get my local gunsmith to mount it yet. I'm also rebarreling the gun, kinda a fun project for me. hope that helps.

Anthony Mittchell's Mausers has a mount for the Mauser 98 Model 48 that fits on the rear sight after you take the sight ramp off. You have to use a long eye relief scope ( Pistol type) The mount is aluminum base with steel screws. They say weaver mount and rings but I myself am looking to see if weaver makes this mount for Mitchell's Mausers or do they make it themselves. |
