Hello gang,

Im new and I have a question.

I am going to scope one of my Schmidty Rubin K31 straight pull rifles. Since this is a range queen and not one of my hunting or target rifles I dont want to put a Vari X III or anthing that expensive on it. Im considering a Burris Fullfield II. Any suggestions for a lower-midrange scope or brand that will fill the bill for 3-9X40 minimum?

thanks

Welcome to The OT!! Glad your here.

The FFII is much loved and revered here.

I would also recommend one of my favorite scopes, the Nikon Buckmaster.

Either would serve you well....

Regards,

cheaptrick.

I almost got a Leupold Rifleman until I found out they had 1/2 moa adjustment and even the Vari X I is friction 1/4 moa adjustment....seemed  a bit lame for the money. The Fullfield II seems to have a lot going for it for the money.

Leupold Rifleman and VX I's are not good choices, as far as I'm concerned.

You'd be better served with the FFII or BM.

Call Matt Foster at 1-800-683-5590. He will give you all the right dope on your M31. His shoots like a target rifle.

I put a Burris Fullfield II on my k31. Fits well with the Warne 7.3 rings. The mount will have to proce itsefl before I declare success but I dont think the scope will be the weak link. The quality seems very good. I didnt realize they were made in the Philipines. Is that better than being made in China?
