Really?

Vortex makes a very good products, but so many associate Crossfire line with everything that they offer and I think that is were there is a disconnect.

I never found anything they make more attractive than something else in the same price range.  They were not unique, not more appealing.  However, I like this scope, at least its looks and specs.  The only thing I don't like about it, that I can see upfront, is the low end.  If it were 3x, I would have already ordered one.

Opinion,untempered by fact,is ignorance.

Picky, picky, picky. Just get the 3-18x50 if you need 3x, after all, who needs 27x for anything other than 338 LM or 50 BMGWink

I'd love to get my mits on the 3-18x50.

My dear wife told me I should just get another Hensoldt...  SHE has really made the decision tough... but I REALLY love that woman...

3-12x56 is FFP and they have a 4-16 that is FFP.  However, for me, with Hensoldt SFP is definitely not a deal breaker.  They have a very high end 3.5-26 that is FFP too, but I'm not willing to pay the price for what I've seen... it is the only disappointment I've ever experienced with Hensoldt... however, the price is a major part of the disappointment.

I'm not going to pay $5500-$7000 for a scope I've not found that much value in.  It would be a "value" at the price of the 6-24x72, it has some nice features, but nothing "world shattering".  I do not understand the pricing on that scope.

Then I think the Razor 4.5-27x56 or the 3-18x50 would be the best bang for the buck.

Does anyone know what it is about these scopes that makes them so heavy?

FYI.  Vortex has sent me a production version of the Razor HD Gen 2 3-18x50.

I'll let you know how it holds up.
