Just to try and put things into perspective; people are people the world over, and there are all kinds. Some places may have more of an abundance of one type due to circumstances than others, but rest assured the rest are there too. I have met and known a number of Germans over here, and from what I have observed from them is that they are no different than us, good and bad. I do however find it hard to believe that one of, if not thee strongest economy in Europe is manned by a bunch of slackers.

I would not call it stereo typing as much as real time observations. The only place in Europe more socialist is Scandinavia. In country that is mostly run on fossil fuels, 28% to 30% of their natural gas at least 50+% electricity from coal fired plants all from Russia. Ask the general public where their energy is supplied from? Some of responses are - renewables or from the government or from the EU but, mostly "I don't know or care for that matter".
I guess in their 28-30 hour work week and 7-8 weeks of payed vacation. They can afford to look the other way... ignorance is bliss as they say. |

The sad thing is this country is only a few years behind Europe in social behavior, our industry is well on its way too. Call it Providence or whatever it is at and beyond to point of no return anyway, world wide debt is far beyond solvency. The robbing of Peter to pay Paul is just too redundant to point out.
It is out of anyone's hands so, with preachiness or told you so or could of would of should of with standing that is just the way it is no matter the "country" they/we ALL screwed the pouch... procrastination is always second nature. |

About 20-30% of the russian people want Communism back, but they are mostly older people and they are slowly dying out. During the Yeltsin period, there was no less hostility in Russia toward America. There was probably less hostility in America toward Russia. ILya

"The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries." -- Winston Churchill
Like the pigs in Orwell's Animal Farm, socialists believe that "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others." For a socialist, the overriding concern is always promoting socialism so... process, rules and regulation mean different things for different people. |

There is so much to be optimistic about. Wink I have no idea how anyone could dream up any silver linings on today's world stag. I know no one knows the day or hour of the end but, divine intervention is the only way out this sick and twisted mess.
The last I looked... we as a country is far from a moral society to justifying asking for help. |

Back in September Obama held a private meeting with Putin. In this meeting the removal of Syrian chemical weapons was negotiated. Nobody has known what Obama traded to Putin in these negotiations for the removal of the Chemical weapons. Obama has never made a good deal for America or our allies. Was the Ukraine traded away by Obama? And will anyone ever know.

America is the most prosperous country in the world and it has the second largest Jewish population in the world, so it must be Americans and Jews keeping Russia down and preventing it from achieving the greatness it so richly deserves. Americans and Jews are probably out of jealousy of the great Russia and out of fear that if allowed Russia would become just too awesome... Believe it or not, this kind of lunatic thinking is very common over there. ILya

I've worked for a German company based out of Munich for the past 20 years, they're no slackers, that is for sure. Good people, the company definitely knows how to make money. |

Yes, Mike I work for and with Germans daily too for the last 16 years, 20-30 hr work week? Never heard of such. They do believe in vacation time. But like you, I've never met a slacker.

Oh I believe it. It seems to be the same attitude that the socialist types have here; it can't be my fault I'm a failure, so it must be the fault of all those rich people. |
