As with many things in life, once you reach a high level of quality you can further spend a whole lot more in cash for a small amount more in performance. The Fullfield II Tactical line of riflescopes represent outstanding performance at a great value.

Each Fullfield II Tactical features a Type III Mil-Spec Olive Drab or Matte Black hard anodize and a special non-reflective low sheen finish. Those who actually have to hump it in the hills with their tactical rifles will also appreciate a new “lighter” way of looking at tactical optics. These Fullfield II Tacticals weigh in at some 25% to 50% less than other scopes in this performance range.

The TAC-2 adjustment knobs are not the giant knobs seen on some other tactical scopes. Rather, TAC-2 knobs provide ease-of-use, easy accessibility, dust covers to keep the dirt, dust and rust out of the adjustment system, and fairly low profile to facilitate more comfortable carry in the field.

OK - I give up - So Who is actually using them operationally?

It looks to me like burris is trying to capture the market segment of people who would like to own a scope that is more easily adjusted and able to dial in correction for bullet drop, but do not have a true operational need for top of the line thousand dollar plus tactical scopes. I wouldn't mind throwing one on a rifle, but is that the one I would take to work - probably not, at least untill I built a lot of confidence with it like I have with the two super sniper scopes I have and the Leupold Mark 4 Tacticals I have. But for small agencies with limited budgets if thats all your budget will allow - try it they should be ok especially at the under 200 yds distance law enforcement usually works at. For me that price range says Super Sniper fixed 10x but there are a lot of guys that just have to have a variable and for close in work under 100 yds, which is likely for police, needing a variable is valid. The medium height knobs with covers are a plus and the balistic plex is a fine reticle for hold over.

    Brady,

I went to Burris' website to get some info, but to no avail. Do you know any of the particulars, specifically for the 2x - 7x 35mm? I was interested in the scope's length, weight, eye relief...etc. Looks like ya'll have them priced to sell! Thanks in advance for any info.......

Well I been looking around and forgot about some extra cash I had so I just bumped my optic up to a Burris Xtreme Tactical 3X12X50mm to get some better glass, allthough these still look good for the money.

Well as far as the rings go I say badger or burris signiture rings. These scopes tend to limit the rings you can use being a 1" tube but that is what you deal with in this price range. I personally love burris glass and would reccomend it especially on the fullfield 2(for the $$), assuming these are of the same quality. I think you should have no problems with one of these as long as it fits your needs. Oh and by the way you build your AR or buy it, just curious? good luck

Nice build here too, if ya don't mind a fixed power the SS 10x is nice too for about the same price range and you get all the 30mm ring options plus a little more MOA adjustment.

Does the 3-9x40 come in matte black, or just OD?  Any other suggestions for mounting on top of a medium range spr build?

I should have a new Tac 2x7 in my hands in the next day or two.  I will mount on my AR carbine and send a pic.  As soon as I can get to the range, I will let you know how it works.  I expect is a great scope for the AR.

OK...here are pics of the AR with the new Burris FFII Tactical.  I have yet to zero.  That will be this weekend.  It is very bright and clear.  I am thinking of the 3x9 version for my Rem 700 Tactical 6.8.  Anybody want to buy my SS 10X

Do you find that the eye relief is extremely critical at  higher powers?  The burris 3-9 Shortmag that I had was so critical that it was not useable at anything over about 6x. If you brought it up fast you would have white vignetting and it would look like you walked into a snow storm. If you took more time getting the exact eye relief it would clear up but the eye relief reminded me of a microscope it was so shallow. So how is this model?

I can speak today to the 2x-7x FFII Tactical.  It is not a problem at all at high power and frankly seems to be the same as low power regarding eye relief.  Very easy to see at all powers.  So I suspect the 3x-9x in the same model is similar.

I think the tube is a little longer in the Fulfield model the problems were with the 3-9 short mag and with the 3-12 pistol scope.  Glad to hear the one you got is working out for you good choice in the 2x-7x you really need that 2x a lot more than the higher powers.
