Sorry. Hunting whitetails in MD so no really super long shots rarely any shooting over 300yds. Not that my son will be shooting that far anytime soon but I would like the rifle to be equipped for it when the time comes. Thanks

Mike with that range in mind, I would consider something with a BDC reticle.

Minox, Leupold, and Vortex would all be great choices.

Matter of fact, check this one out.

Looks like a nice scope and a great price. I have no familiarity with Minox but for the price I may have to give that a go. Any other options?

Do you remember the cold war, and the mini spy cameras? That was Minox. Minox was made famous by their camera products, abd then they ventured off into sport optics.

There are. There are so many that it would make your head spin honestly.

What are some features that you have to have?

I would give some consideration to a 4x or 6x fixed power scope they are very tough and never on the wrong power, very bright in low light and easy to use not such a high power that you cant get it onto a deer.  Other than that suggestion I would strongly consider Vortex due to their warranty.
"Our warranty is about you, not us. It's about taking care of you after the sale.

The VIP stands for a Very Important Promise to you, our customers. We will repair or replace your Vortex product in the event it becomes damaged or defective—at no charge to you. It doesn't matter how it happened, whose fault it was, or where you purchased it. You can count on the VIP Warranty for all riflescopes, red dots, rangefinders, binoculars, spotting scopes and monoculars.

  • Fully transferable
  • No warranty card to fill out
  • No receipt needed to hang on to

If you ever have a problem, no matter the cause, we promise to take care of you.
