The thing that killed the mini 14 and mini 30 was how long it took them to buy a clue that people want more than a 5 round magazine - one from the manufacturer that works reliably. It is only quite recently that the high cap mags have been available from Ruger and that off brand stuff was crap about 60 % reliable. I like the mini for that it is now short fast with a 20 round box mag and a reasonably priced folding stock that makes it short and packable. I still dont find them to be in the same accuracy category as an AR but having it in the 7.62x39 I like because it looks visually more like a hunting rifle but with the firepower of an AK.

Urimaginaryfrnd, did you get yours to work reliably? I seem to remember you having issues with yours in 7.62x39.
