What is the low down on this red dot sight? I tried searching the forum but couldn't come up with anything. Is it accurate? Does it hold zero? Durable? Any info will be appreciated.

It's relatively new but from a fairly reliable company, price seems reasonable, so buy one and let us know how you like it. I like my aimpoint ok for close range but I find that the dot is too large to be really useful over about 200 yds so I dont currently have it mounted on any of my rifles. Most red dot scopes have no magnification therefore are no help identifying targets at distance. A red dot scope might be a good choice for a slug gun under 100yds or a turkey choke - extra full choke under 50 yds. If you plan to shoot very far a traditional scope is a better choice.

Thanks. I am really leaning towards a Leupy or Burris 1x-4x, but wanted to see if there was any feedback on this dot sight.

I do have a Burris 1x on a 45-70 encore pistol and it has held up to the heavy recoil very well. Typically Im a Leupold guy. What rifle are you working with.

I am working with an M4. Looking to do close in out to 200-300 meters. Have astigmatism and do have a problem with the dot blurring. It is ok for close in but not too accurate at distance. Edited by Rob96 |
