I am literally beating myself up over this scope decision. Browning A-Bolt Stalker 270win. I need something for both hunting in the woods and across fields. Samplelist options are welcomed. Just cannot for the life of me make a decision.

Or, a Zeiss Conquest on close out for under $450. Just a few ideas.

For hunting the Carolina brier patches and power line clearings, I'd look at the Leupold VX-R 3-9x, my friend.

If you are hunting in low light I would seriously consider that Duralyt. The Nikon has pretty good glass, but the BDC is not real good in low light. Especially if there is  background cover.
The Meopta #4 is a good low light reticle but I have only checked them out in the upper end Meostar.

I'm really liking the Mark AR, basically the 1" version of the VX-R.

Meopta MeoPro 4-12x50 with a #4 if you want a great low light scope and don't want to dial or have a BDC reticle..
i.e., run a 250 yard zero and you are good to go out to 300 dead hold...

Probably 400 yards max. Trying to get a price match on the meopro 4-12. Really liking that Firedot4 though on the Leupold.

both are good..
you would be happy with either..

Leupold has their CDS dial option for longer shots..

Kenton Industries is coming out with a dial for more Meoptas

CC, I referred the OP to your review on the Leupold Patrol model, as well. I think the Leupold with the Fire Dot will meet and hopefully exceed his expectations.
