I don't know how Simmons has them rated, but from my personal experience:
1. Whitetail Expedition 2. Aetec 3. Whitetail Classic (avoid)
I've used or owned all three of these. If possible, spend a little extra money and get a Burris, Bushnell Elite, Nikon, or Leopold. |

HVFD1610,
Simmons ranked their scopes the same way you did: Aetec, WTE, WTC. They do not necessarily all suck (although I am certainly not a Simmons fan), but you can do better for the money. ILya |

I am not quite an optics expert, but the I have been completely satisfied with the two WTEs that I have had. They may not have been a great buy at m.s.r.p. when Simmon was making them, but at the prices you can find them for now they seem like a gonga to me. My 1.5x6 is just a great little scope.

Kent, whatever works you is what you should be using. If your WTEs are holding up well and you are somfortable with their performance, then keep using them.

But they do all SUCK. Better to buy an old 721 in 30-06 and put a good $400 scope on it than to spend $1000 on a rifle and put a Simmons on it!
