Hi All,

I just received my Demo-A SS 3-14x42 in the mail and have a couple of concerns.  Externally, the scope looks brand new.  However, when I was checking out the internals, I noticed a couple of things through the objective lens.  I noticed a brass looking wire on the inside of the lens.  I also saw what looks to be a small bubble, similar to what happens when moisture in automotive tint doesn't dry out completely.  Along the upper edge, while looking through the objective, there is also some black particles.

Has anyone else heard of these things?  I'm going to call SWFA in the morning to see if they can remedy.  Man I was so excited to get the scope and now that it's traveled all the way to Hawaii, I will probably have to send it back. Sad

Does anyone know how to upload an image to the thread?  Trying to insert image but not as easy as I thought.

Aloha-

Thanks! There's that brass, copper wire in the middle of the photo. That can't be normal. It doesn't move around, guessing because of a vacuum in the tube. You can't see the bubble or the other foreign objects in the photo. They were impossible to photograph with my camera.
