ESPN says still rumor so far. Alabama has offered him a new contract. Other rumor says Brown will step down soon.

Hmmm....My Spider senses are tingling.....A potential cosmic shift in college football??

I was hoping if Saban left Bammers, that he'd go more Eastward than Westward. Big Grin

I don't see Saban leaving Bama. Mac Brown is gone at Texas but I'm thinking it won't become Saban's next stop. However, big money could change that scenario quickly.

Yeah, I'm thinking Saban can be bought... and Texas has no shortage of funds to buy him, if they're willing to go there. I'm hoping not, as that might sway some recruits away from my beloved A&M.

I'm betting any way the ball bounces that Mack Brown won't be on the sidelines at UT next year. I relish any woes that come Texas's way, so if Saban has any inclination of contacting a realtor outside of Tuscaloosa, I'm hoping its anywhere else besides Austin.

Ted, I thought I heard (last night) they he (Brown) had turned in his "resignation letter" yesterday.

No, according to news reports, both Mack and UT disputed that rumor. In fact, he's on a recruiting trip in Florida right now.

Might be some meat on this bone. I think Saban may consider leaving Bama to go to TX....this year, more so than in years past. Losing to..."that school on the plains"....might have put a fire under him.

Yeah, yeah..I know they lost to them when "scam newton" (de-emphasis mine), had his run, but this year Bama just looked different. These TX rumors have been circling around before that happened though.
We shall see...

Mack recruiting is his job if he gets sh*t canned next week or not. if he fails to do his job he fails to fulfill his part of the contract/rider on it. then he wont get the $ left on his contract if fired. it the coaches clause. ALL coaches use it.

UT was going to offer Saban 100 mill for 10 years ( reliable insider at ut). also a inside source says Alabama has handed him a big offer but he has yet to sign it. still laying on his desk.  so??? who knows.

How about that? I thought Baylor would win, but not by much.

It appears that the Sooners aren't following the script, unaware they're supposed to lose this game.

Just watched Nick Saban's post game interview on ESPN, I was impressed at some of the things he had to say even in defeat.
