wantin good lowlight scope for my woods rifle. was leaning towards the meopta 3-9x42 but pretty much talked out of it because of the size of my gun - browning blr .243.   next on my list was the burris as long as i could get it in a #4 reticle.   question is how good is this scope for a woods gun? good in lowlight? durable?

Never used it but I have used this one in a similar hunting use, worked well
Minox 1.5-8x32 ZA5 Riflescope Minox 1.5-8x32 ZA5 Riflescope

I would relook at the meopro.  I don't think you would care about the size at all.

Don't discount fixed power scopes. I have a Weaver K4 4X38 on my Low Wall .243 and it is very nice. Additionally, Leupy has some good ones AND the 4X32 IOR has super nice glass.

you might want to take a look at the vortex 2-7x diamondback.

i just recently got one and it seems very bright all through the mag range.

you might look at some of the 2-7 and 2-8  nikons or the fixed power weavers, nikons  and leupolds.

there are lots of bright scopes out there that ain't huge and don't beat up your wallet too much--LOL

i have a neighbor that hunts with a nikon 4x fixed scope --been a while since i looked through it but it was very bright and clear as well.

i think it was a buckmaster???--

I had the Burris 2-7 #4 and a Vortex 2-7 with the C3 (I think that was what it was called) at the same time
Burris with the #4 was a better low light scope

in general I am not a big Burris fan but I thought the little 2-7 FF2 #4 was a great little scope
