Bought the IOR 10X56mm 1/4 Mil per Click one for my 10FLP .308 bench rifle. If I don't like it going to swap it to one of you guys for your Super Sniper 10X42mm el cheap "O". LOL

You won't get my SS, Dude.

I hate the IOR turrets. SS are much better.

Which reticle?

MP8?

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

Obviously you have not ever had the chance to compare a Super Sniper side by side with other $1300+ Tactical scopes like I have on my rifles. Thanks but no trade -  If I  buy any more tacticals they will most likely be 10x42M Super Snipers.

See if you can sompare it to some other scopes, side by side.  That would be interesting to see.

Yes!

The SS 10 x is an awesome scope. I also have the 20x and while it works well 42mm doesn't let a lot of light in right before dark on a 20x but my 15 yr old was shooting 2.5 in at 600 yds with the 20x.

The turrets are really nice to use, since no covers and good clicks. They are like my M1 turrets, just reach and turn. I am a lot more comfortable being a little too rough on the $299 SS than on my high dollar Leupolds. IOR does make a good scope with excellent glass and their 6x42 is high on my list but I personally do not like a 56mm scopefor tactical use even the really great top quality Nightforce 56mm scopes - they are just too bulky.Probably would be ok if only used for target use, but for tactical use - NO!   My Leu Mk4  8.5-25X50 is as large as I can stand and it will go on a 338 Lapua.  My Leu 10x40 M3 is about right  for size just like my SS 10x42M is about right. The 10x is about as much power as you can use standing and comes on target fairly rapidly. The SS is a very fun scope.

They make cars in different colors because not everyone likes the same thing.

Didn't show you guys the bench anchor, yep it's 3 pounds of glass and steel, but the 10FLP with Choate can handle the weight.

Koshkin I have a Nikon Monarch Gold 2.5-10 X 56mm and the IOR is as clear and bright as it. Believe me the Nikon is by far the best scope I have. When shooting the IOR I find the MP8 reticle very easy on the eye. It is my first Mil Dot like scope. Getting use to the adjustment is my biggest challenge. Right is not right and Up is not up. I found that must hold on target and move the cross hairs to the bullet hole. Chris is right, at 34 oz. it is a pound on the heavy side. But, what do you expect from all steel and glass.

Thanks for you interest.

The Savage 10FPLE Choate is a fine choice of rifles for that 10x56 IOR scope I have one of those rifles in .223 which I used to have a 20x Super Sniper on then I decided to put the SS on my .308 Rem PSS and a Leu Mk4 PR 3-9 landed on the Savage. Really a great shooting rifle but not my favorite caliber.

I'm really quite fond of my 10x42M Super Sniper and wouldn't mind having a couple more.

Urimaginaryfrud your experience and advise is always dead on. Do you find the Rem PSS .308 works well with the 20X? And how far do you like to shoot it? I have several bottoms that I can shot daily at 500 yards. It just a lot of maintenance keeping the grass cut down the shooting lane. Got yardage marked off at 100 yard increments. Every so often if I'm by myself, a coyote wonder across the shooting lane looking for mice. It is not a good place for him to be looking  for food. Have shot four this spring and two where big females. No more puppies.
