There's a blurb about it in this issue of Guns. Says it was invented by a Seal. Peddler |

I went out and purchased the paste today. Tried it out on my ar today, simply wonderful. The paste stays in place better than any oil/grease I have tried up to this point and repeals water/dust like rain-x on a windshield. It also does not smell like a refinery and no worry of spontaneous combustion of used rags.

FWIW, I didn't heat my parts up figuring that the first bit of shooting would accomplish the same thing.

It does, but it gets a little messy as the stuff melts. :)

Frog lube seems to be pretty amazing stuff to me. I heat my parts up everytime I use it. It seems to be working like an well seasoned iron skillet. The more you shoot and lube, the better it gets. The fouling gunk just seems to come off easier every time. The gun parts seem to get slicker and smoother operation. It seems to repel or dissolve all the fouling. Unlike with oil where it just builds up. |

I've used it. It's very similar to Ballistol in my opinion. Frog lube smells better I guess. I like the film Ballistol leaves for final wipe down a bit better. Frog lube's good stuff.

I saw this post over on the Sig forum about mold with froglube. But froglube corrected it by adding an anti-rancid ingredient.

I've used Frog Lube for a couple of years. I had never heard of it until an armorer at SIG told me that's what they used on their guns for their shooting classes at Exeter. Had really good luck with it.
