Is there a mil-dot reticle converted to MOA measurements? Thanks.

It would not be called a mildot, but Nightforce has MOA reticles, and I believe Vortex Viper PST does as well.

So does Schmidt Bender, USO, and Premier Reticles.

If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

Apparently a MOA-dot isn't doable? It makes sense in low light conditions.

There are actually a number of mil optics thet can be applied as MOA reticles. If the mil unit is setup to subtend at 10x correctly in a second focal plane optic that goes to at least 17x, it can be done by adjusting the power up until the mil-unit becomes 2.0 MOA [17x in this case]. a 6-24 set up for 12x the optic would be have to be set to ~20.5x etc... Remember reticle subtension is ~inversely proportional to magnification in SFP optic.Actually i see now that you're trying to use it at a lower power...where the inversely proportional concept still holds true. So if the mil is setup for 10x at 4.9x it becomes 7 MOA, etc. Edited by sscoyote - April/12/2013 at 15:40 |
