I've tried a number of climbers over the yrs but always spent more time looking for a tree to get up than looking for deer.  Last one was a Summit that was made just for Cabela's. Nice.

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

BING BING BING we have a WINNNER!!! Bucky.

I'd feel safe in that nest.  It's the realatively small branchless strait truck tree you need for a climber that makes me nervous.

I don't know about that.  I'm 6'3" and 240+ lbs.   My Grand Ol Man works pretty good.  Easy on and off the tree and climbs pretty quiet too.  However, if it is cold (20's or lower) you'll want a cushion between you and the mesh seat.  Otherwise your clothes lose their insulating properties and you literally freeze your a$$ off.

Which climber belt you using?  I've still got my old API.  My Klien is just too stiff for bowhunting.

have no clue, its the old leather one that my dad used back when he was a lineman.  His hooks too,  I just changed the spikes and leather a while back due to dry rot.

I just did a search for dedicated bowhunting climbing belts.  Nothing.  I'm guessing they're not considered safe anymore.
I can see your leather belt getting supple but my Klien is cordora and is unbelievably stiff even after yrs of use at work.

And I was about to get all excited about pole climbing.  Bucky

My neighbor works for BGE and is a lineman.  He goes up those poles like a freakin monkey!!!

Thats a job were you usually only get one mistake!!!

The ones that really scare me are the nuts that walk the plank out of a perfectly good helo and climb onto hi tension transmission lines!!!!
