Strange opportunity for testing, but test it I did!

I recently had a 6 AM flight out of Vancouver and spent the night before at the airport Fairmont Hotel.  When I arrived to my room ("air port operations side", as though that was an upgrade), I noticed a spotter looking out over the international terminal. It was a Prostaff spotter on an exceptionally nice Manfrotto tripod with a really nice mounting head.

It was failing light, but I had some bright buildings to look at as well.

I was unimpressed with sharpness.
I didn't care for the eye piece.
Focus operation wasn't bad, power setting was not well designed.
I liked the ergonomics, especially on the manfrotto tripod with manfrotto head.
For a spotter not called on to spot 22-cal holes at 300+ yards, it wasn't a bad scope.
For birding or other forms of fine detail observation, I wouldn't recommend it.
For a 100-200 yard spotter, it wouldn't be a bad choice.

SWFA sells a newer design for $499, that's probably not a bad deal for those not looking for long range capabilities.

Not in depth, but I thought it a good chance to play with a spotter I had not used before.

Do you remember the power and objective size?
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

It was a 20-60X, not sure on the objective.
