A buddy of mine I grew up with, when he was living in Seattle, found a bunch of old WW1 era newspapers inside his wall when he was remodeling his house.  This was about 14 years ago, and now he's back in Texas. Among his old newspaper stash from back then, he just discovered this today.

Front page of the Seattle newspaper from March 15, 1915...
Read carefully; it seems some things never change:

Yeah Ted, I think we would celebrate if it were still only 113,000,000. But I have to say, that was a lot of money back then. Still don't know it it would be equal to the trillions of dollars of today.

But did you notice the subheading in the middle of the page below the title of the article?

Democrat=extravagance (with taxpayer money... not theirs)
Opinion,untempered by fact,is ignorance.

There are some who do not fear death... for they are more afraid of not really living

Some things never change.

That's what I noticed first too.
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

The stories have been the same for over 100 years.
Democrats spend too much.
Democrats need more money.
Republicans will not let the democrats increase the debt limit
We are in debt so its the Republicans fault. Republicans who didn't wont to spend so much, Didn't want to borrow so much.
