I had the chance to do some shooting in a good heavy, steady rain storm and I thought I

would show you the results, I hope some of you will find it useful.

The first target was placed at 300 yds in a heavy, steady rain storm with a wind of about 8 mph to the left and I fired 10 rounds of 168gr Amax at 2705fps from my .308.

For the shots I dialed up the SS 4 moa and I made no adjustment for wind.

The result was a 10 shot group that measured 2.070” tall and 4.273” wide.

The second group was the next day at 300yds with the temperature about the same and the wind was going right at about the same 8 mph.

I set the scope up 4 moa and made no change for wind.

The group was 2.310” and fairly round.

Conditions may result differently but during this test I found the heavy rain effected my windage a lot more than the elevation .

What a great hobby!

Thanks, S6!

I love pics.

I need to get a digital camara so I can post some pics of my rifle and new SS 10x.

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

Cheaptrick, before you drop the cash on a digital camera, talk to me.  I may be able to offer some reasonably educated advice.  Just like with scopes, I see people buying all sorts of digital cameras that are not right for them (just for the record, I think highly of quite a few Nikon digicams).

Will do, Brother!

I know even less about camaras than I do scopes.
