But of course.  Well that and except for the stock and action screws everything was free.  Bucky

  Stickbow,
To be honest I've shot not quite 2 boxes of 130gr Super-X's through it.  No 3 shot groups have gone over 1 1/2" though.  I've got all I need to reload for it but really don't know if I'll get into it or not.

Someone who has absolutely nothing in the world against .270, just have no need of it.  Doesn't fill any "slot" in the weaponry line... for me.  I've owned .270... had one built by Shilen.  I spent hours, weeks, months building a Brazilian cherry wood stock for it... practiced for weeks on other woods to be able to checker the stock.  Shot it about 10 times and sold it to a gun dealer for what I had in it.  Don't hate it, just don't love it, don't need it...  Anything I can do with .270, I can do as well or better with another caliber that I like more...
Opinion,untempered by fact,is ignorance.

In the past 15 or 20yrs I've seen too many shooters who would be better served by a .270 Win than with the larger calibers/cartridges they're using.  Use to be the .30-06 but I reckon we've gotten "softer".

He had all kinds of different patterns like camo and such.  But with the gloss finish of the bbl'd action I thought to go with wood.  He had a burled finish but it was too symetrical for a rifle stock.
