Hi all.

I have a very early Kahles Helia 26 (Serial No. 19) 2x–6X zoom. The zoom ring is very stiff as are the turret adjustments. Does anybody have a recommendation for a place to have the scope serviced. I only want the scope lubricated and cleaned. I plan to put it on a Griffin & Howe Mauser in .270 Winchester that was built in the late 40s.

Does anybody know when this scope might have been built? I cannot find any info on these anywhere.

Thanks
Peter M

I was wondering if any information was found on this scope.
I recently acquired a Brno proofed in 1949 with a Kahles Helia 26. The scope has the number 25 stamped on the bottom front half of the main tube. On Kahles website they state that they developed their first variable magnification scope in 1949.
Anyway good luck with the scope the image through mine is surprisingly clear.

Regards
Joss
