A couple of years ago I too found myself watching bucks walk away in low light because I couldn't see them well enough with the scopes and binos I had at the time to confidently make the shots. Thanks to the good advice obtained on this forum, I'm now equipped with 8 X 56 Meopta Meostar B1 binoculars and a Meopta Meostar 3 X 12 X 56MM illuminated German #4, second focal plane scope. Now fewer bucks live to tell the story as this combination has enabled me to see and shoot later than before. At the same time, I was able to stay within my target ceiling price of $1000.00 each. As others have pointed out, certainly there are better units out there than these, but they normally come at heftier prices and offer only small improvements. I likewise have a set of Minox 8 X 56 BL BR binoculars. To my aging eyes, the Meostar B1 is a better fit to my situation.

I hunted this past weekend with a Meopta Meostar 3-12x56 German#4 RD, FFP.
I also had Meopta 10x42 HD binos with me.

I am very, very impressed with both of them.
I watched deer past legal hunting times on a dark night twice with both optics.

It was a very good match with the two.

When you are dead, you don't know you are dead.It is difficult only for others.

It is the same when you are stupid.
