tryin to find a decent scope for this rifle (which i havent purchased yet but am considering it)...anyways i dont wanna break the bank too bad since ive already bought a swaro for my 270 and bullets and a bunch of other crap already......looking at a 3-9x42 meopro or the leupold vx1 3-9x40 ..... they both get great reviews but i know the meopro is euro glass and should be better right? but i could save some cash by getting the vx1....just wondering any thoughts from anyone who has either of these scopes

I do not own either , but would go with this one. What action is your 35 in ?
I also have read good reviews on this scope.

I currently have the meopro 3-9x42 for eval. I don't have the vx-1 to compare side by side, but the Meopta is an awesome optical performer, better than a vx-3 IMO.

Of the two you listed I would go with the Meopta. Since you would like to save some money have you considered the Zeiss Conquest? They are $350 right now for a 3-9.

i actually had a zeiss conquest 3-9 and didnt care for it at all....i know its talked about highly and gets excellent reviews but i sold mine..just didnt like it..hard to get a good sight picture in the eyebox and didnt find the lowlight to be much different than my old nikon...could have been a lemon tho
certainly considering the meopta |

I'd take the Meopta any day over the VXI.

I have to agree with you. The more I use the new Meopta products, the more I am impressed with them. I have the Meostar HD bins, S2 spotter, and Meopro riflescope, and all three really stand out in the color saturation department. Also CA control in the Meopro is very good for a riflescope.

It isn't too much scope IMO. The Meopta is pretty wide at 3x.
