According to several creditable sources including the one linked below, The Wounded Warrior Project does not to have anything to do with firearms companies.

Sad deal because in the end wounded warriors will lose because of WWP's policies.

Wow, that defies all logic and reason!

Very stupid position for them to take, given that gun owners are among the most patriotic people on the planet and are more supportive of our troops than most any other demographic.

Just inexplicable.

Well the fact that they also declined benefits from amonst other things " of which the product is sexual and alcohol" shows that they are deranged !!!

They would not know how to have a good time even if they were locked up inside a brewery !

Yet, they apparently have no problem at all hosting fundraisers at the Playboy Mansion, so their "sexually related" policy rings pretty hollow.

Hypocrites!

I think they told Silenced America they didn't want their donations as well, he posted something on FB about it.

More on this controversy. WWP started "crawfishing" amid overwhelming negative feedback, and their lame attempt in clearing up the so-called "miscommunication" only underscored their anti-gun bias. They obviously take us for fools.

http://www.ammoland.com/2012/11/26/wounded-warrior-project-is-anti-gun/#axzz2DYTJJrD8

Here is their ridiculous, nonsensical "explanation," directly from the CEO:

http://dailycaller.com/2012/11/15/wounded-warrior-project-issues-statement-on-gun-talk-radio-controversy/

Well... we can certainly make a "business decision" too!

Nice!

Not suprised. My dealings with them left alot to be desired. Back when I really needed some help I never got any kind of response +or-. Then about a 6 mos after I quit trying they suddenly became very bothersome asking for donations. I wrote the head whats his name twice asking was my case the exception or the rule. No response. Still get donation request but not quite as often. Unfortunately it is too much like many of the veteran services. Hollow and far more trouble than they are worth. If you want to help veterans pick one who has a need thank him/her for their sacrifice and do what you can toward that need. Problem is you may have to help anonymously cause they may be too proud to accept.

Last few times I help someone I did it thru my pastor. They are more apt to accept when told by the preacher " someone who cares about you did this".

Then you get the satisfaction of knowing that all you gave went where you intended.

Using the Vets to promote an anti gun, anti American agenda is showing dangerous disrespect with a slap in the face to all veterans.  Behead is not strong enough of a response to WW.

I should try to be less negitive but I'm still too PO'ed to give it the proper effort right now. Alittle more water under the bridge will help I'm sure. I'm certan there are top notch groups out there. I just wasn't fortunate to find any when I needed it. I can say however that as bad as the VA is, it is far better than it was 4 yrs ago. And I do limit my opinion to the VA in NC. I've heard really good things about other states.

The VA in OKC has saved my life, twice in the past 10 years.

I jack- up fat whiner slobs whenever I'm at the VA and hear 'em bitchin' about the VA... you've all seen 'em, I'm sure.
I'm firmly of the opinion that if the rest of the country were able to have as fine a health care system as we have at the VA that we'd be a lot healthier people.

The VA figured out how I should deal with a "condition"  plaguing me which a previous string of expensive civvie doctors only made a quick look- see and packed me off for a bunch more tests which they never spent the time to interpret correctly. Thousands of $$$ later, I said to hell with it and went back to the VA, since they'd saved my bacon about a decade ago. They found something the very first day of testing which maybe $10 grand of doctors and tests had missed, so I'm able to have some kind of life again.
God Bless the VA in Oklahoma City and everywhere else, too.

Back on topic- WWP is outta here, for me.
