Looking for a good quality scope for new 7mm-08. Mostly woods deer hunting with longest distances out to maybe 200 yds.  Looking at the Nikon Monarch 2-8x32 or the Burris Fullfield European 30 3-9x40. Want best clarity.  I have owned monarchs and they are good, how is the Burris 30mm?

IMO, those are both very good optics, but the Burris would get my vote. with that said, I would also check out the sightron scopes SWFA has on sale right now.

Get the Monarch.  I've had two Fullfield II's and never could warm up to the whole eyepiece turning to adjust the power range.  I've purchased Fullfield's and Fullfield II's and I still have the Fullfield's; sold both the Fullfield II's.  To me, the FFII's aren't the same quality (brigheter but not as crisp) that the FF's were.  I have 8 Monarchs and 2 FF's.  So there's my $0.02.

For the money I love the 2.5-10 monarch on my short barrel 30-06. On my long range unit I have a burris 2-12 which I also love, but is 3 times the price. I have one buddy that is amazed at my Monarch compared to his Leupold. He thinks my Monarch is a better, but his lupenot, cost him much more. In the range you are looking buy the nikon and love it.
