I like the idea of being very precise on paper and I like the idea of a cheaper tactical scope. Are these two as clear as the high dollar scopes out there?

Never own one myself, but everyone says they are an excellent scope for the money. Hold there value also. See them on AR-15 selling for $250 and up used.

I have a 20x Super Sniper and a 8.5 to 25 Leupold. Yes you do get more for the money but over four times more - well that really depends on how serious you are about your scope.  The 20x Super Sniper is a fine scope for a guy that shoots paper or prairie dogs or things that are a long long way off.  I do recommend the lens shade.

The 8.5-25 Leupold Mark 4 variable power scope is more versitile for tactical situations and is better  brighter glass at a huge difference in price.  I plan to buy a 10x Super Sniper before too long so from that you can read that I am quite satisfied with the quality for the price. I do think in a fixed power scope the 10x is a more usefull better choice than the 20x for most people.  Another choice that you could consider is the 6x or 10x IOR which are in the $450 to $570 price range. My suggestion is buy the 10x Super Sniper and dont look back.

The high dollar scopes these super snipers are compared against usually have 50 or 56mm objectives. With the super snipers having a 42mm obj on all models the difference in optics will start to show itself more when you go up in power. If you're looking for more power I wouldn't go more than 16.

The 20 works just fine for shooting paper in bright daylight and it does get a little dim right before dark but it is still quit useable. We were using it one night in total darkness at 200 yards holding a flashlight aimed at the target from the pit - now that's determination. It's about exit pupil size - not very large with a 20x but it's useable. The 10x I got in yesterday is really nice and I really like the side focus.
