Optics news from the front: 3x12 variable-powered Schmidt & Bender M-8541 Scout-Sniper Day Scope in action with the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment. Did I fail to mention that it was variable powered?

Very nice optics!! I like the reticle....looks like my Nikon Tactical with the little half mil marks. I hope I never have a problem with it because I heard Nikon will replace it with one of their current scopes rather than repair it. I heard they were, or was in trouble with Premier Reticles for using their design. It sure looks like the S&B will never be any cheaper to buy as long as our Government is buying so many. Very nice is all I can say about it and I'm sure the snipers are happy with them now that they've used them for a couple or more months.

I can't tell for sure, but it also looks like it comes with the color coded, two turn, elevation turret found on 5-25x56. The pic isn't all that clear.
