I got this scope off of an auction site recently.  Its an older Burris Fullfield 2-7x32 with #4 reticle, seems like a very clear scope by the way.

The rear eyepiece turns and has a lock ring (shown in pic below)  I don't see where turning the eye piece adjusts focus.  That must be what it is for correct?

That is strictly for focusing the reticle. take it outside and loosen the lock ring. look through the scope at a blank spot in the sky (not directly at the sun) and see if the reticle is in sharp focus. your not looking to focus your sight picture... only the reticle. turn the eyepiece a little at a time looking away frequently so that your eye does not try to focus automatically. when the reticle appears in sharp focus lock the ring back down and thats all the "focusing" there is to that scope. Very nice scope by the way! I have owned many Burris scopes over a bunch of years and they have never let me down yet!
Sometimes my tongue outruns my brain and I say something I haven't thought of yet!
