I'm looking for a good - decent pair of binos just for bowhunting... I just need it to be compact and Light. I have a pair of Nikon Action Extreme's 7x50 and Nikon Monarchs 10x56 that i use for rifle hunting, but they are big and heavy. I need something lightweight. I was actually looking at the Nikon Travelite V binos 8x25 and 10x25 but don't know anything about them.
And the binos don't have to be nikon's either. I'll take the best bang i can get for a buck.. as long as they are light and compact. Less than $200 will work, around $100 would be better. As i won't use the bino's as often as my big bino's. |

The Sightron Blue Sky SII 8x32 is one of the best bang for you buck binos out right now.

For bowhunting a 10x would be overkill. Narrow FOV. 25mm aperture would be rather dim at dawn & dusk. The Leupold Yosemite 6x30 will be a lot brighter with the 5mm exit pupil. The wider FOV will be appreciated for close-in bow hunting . Stan

Ditto on the Sightron. 17 ounces, good ergonomics and surprising optical performance. Usually $150 to $180 online.

Hello Horsetrader
I bought a Vortex monocular for bow hunting a couple years ago and have been very happy. Very bright, easy to focus, and low light performance is really good. It sits on the front seat of my truck during hunting season and so I don't worry about messing up my Vortex Razor's.
